Hello,
My name is Chrisie. I am 38 years old and I live in South Carolina. Over the last couple of months, I have developed an addiction to nail polish and nail stamping. I am not very artistic so being able to use the stamping plates makes me feel like I am professional artist.
First, I started this blog out with doing just nail polish and stamping related stuff. But I decided that I had alot of other things to offer readers. Like what you might ask? I am 6 feet tall and plus size. At one time, I weighed 500 lbs, I lost 250 lbs over a course of 2 years. I understand what it feels like to be plus size in a normal society. I am able to relate to issues of being plus size. I have issues with finding clothes, bras and shoes, etc. that fit. I had issues with my self-esteem and looks.
I also have a disorder or syndrome that is called Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome or CRPS. In 2008, I was working as a Certified Nurse Assistant when a resident fell back in her bed pulling my left arm with her. I had to have 3 shoulder surgeries over a 6 month period. I developed extreme pain in my left shoulder, arm and hand. I do not have total function of my left hand along with numbness and tingling. My bicep swells to the size of a football and is extremely painful to touch or use. I deal with the pain daily. At one time, I was on some powerful narcotics, Opana, to relieve my pain. I do not remember 2 years of my life due to the medications.
I went into a depression because the Doctors told me that I would not be able to use that arm properly again. I was going back to college to get my Nurse Degree. That dream was crushed because I could not lift patients or complete my clinics. I developed severe anxiety due to being scared that people would hit my shoulder causing me to have to endure extreme pain. I have missed out on alot of things because I am to afraid to get hurt again.
I hope to be able to share my stories of how I deal with issues. I am eager to help other people that have similar issues and can help me grow as a person. I look forward to making friends and learning about everyone else.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
Chrisie
